Betsy Jones
Senior Vice President of Medical Product Management

Betsy Jones is Senior Vice President of Medical Product Management. She oversees both the EBSCO Health Medical Product Management department and the Medical Editorial Teams of clinical reference tools such as DynaMed Plus and CINAHL. Betsy is a leader in the healthcare publishing industry and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Publisher at the American Medical Association. She brings a wealth of experience in clinical information, content expertise and industry knowledge to EBSCO Health.

Michael Berkwits, MD, MSCE
Deputy Editor for JAMA

Dr. Berkwits is a Deputy Editor for JAMA. He received his medical education and training at the University of Illinois in Chicago, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and University of Pennsylvania, and previously held editorial positions at the Annals of Internal Medicine, the Journal of General Internal Medicine, The Merck Manuals and the Perelman School of Medicine.

Robert M. Centor, MD, MACP
Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Regents for the American College of Physicians

Dr. Centor is the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Regents for the American College of Physicians. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Regional Dean of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. He has also held numerous positions at the Medical College of Virginia, where he earned his medical degree and completed his residency.

Julie Hollberg, MD
CMIO for Emory Healthcare

Dr. Hollberg is the Chief Medical Information Officer for Emory Healthcare and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. In addition to rounding as a hospitalist at Emory University Hospital, Dr. Hollberg provides medical direction and governance for the EMR and related clinical applications.  Her focus is increasing collaboration between frontline clinicians and Information Services to improve patient care.  Dr. Hollberg completed her medical training at Baylor College of Medicine as a Rice-Baylor Medical Scholar.  She completed her residency training and chief medical resident year at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.  She was selected to participate in the Woodruff Leadership Academy of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and has been nominated twice for the Nanette Wagner service award in the Department of Medicine.

William A. Kormos, MD, MPH
Chief of Medicine at the James Howard Means Firm, Department of Medicine

Dr. Kormos is the Chief of Medicine at the James Howard Means Firm, Department of Medicine and Education Director, John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation, and a practicing member of the Internal Medicine Associates at MGH. He is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as well as Editor for the Harvard Men’s Health Watch. Dr. Kormos is an outstanding clinical teacher and has received three different teaching awards for excellence, and is co-author of one of the most widely used clinical review books for medical students.

Ilkka Kunnamo, MD, PhD
Founder and Editor-in-Chief of EBM Guidelines and EBMeDS decision support program

Dr. Kunnamo is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of EBM Guidelines and EBMeDS decision support program published by Duodecim Medical Publications.  He is an Adjunct Professor of General medicine at the University of Helsinki as well as a part-time clinician.

Amir Qaseem, MD, PhD, MHA, FACP
VP of Clinical Policy at the American College of Physicians

Dr. Qaseem is the VP of Clinical Policy at the American College of Physicians and is responsible for leading the ACP’s evidence-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines program. He also directs the ACP’s Performance Measurement program and Performance Measurement Committee. His work also includes development and implementation of ACP’s quality improvement and educational programs. Amir is the Chair of G-I-N and is affiliated with the Jefferson Medical College.

Holger Schünemann, MD, MSc, PhD
Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics

Dr. Schünemann is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology & Biostatistics and a Professor of Medicine at McMaster University. He is also a chair of the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) working group. Dr. Schünemann is editor-in-chief of Health and Quality of Life Outcomes and co-convenor of the Applicability and Recommendations Methods Group of the Cochrane Collaboration. Some of his research interests are guideline development, systematic reviews, health related quality of life, pulmonary function and respiratory disease epidemiology and knowledge translation.

Dr. Surendra K. Sharma, MBBS, MD, PhD
Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences

Dr. Sharma is Chief of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He is also a Senior Grade Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine, and is Editor for the Indian Journal of Chest Diseases and Allied Sciences, Associate Editor of the Indian Journal of Tuberculosis, and section Editor for Lung India.

Richard J. Simons, MD, MACP
Senior Associate Dean for MD Programs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Dr. Simons is the Senior Associate Dean for MD Programs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he oversees the full continuum of medical education, student affairs, admissions and health science library.  He graduated from Eastern Nazarene College and then received his MD degree from Penn State University College of Medicine.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals and served as Chief Resident and Instructor at Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center.  His academic career has focused on medical education and he has served in educational leadership roles in both undergraduate and graduate medical education.  Dr. Simons was elected to the ACP’s Board of Regents in 2016.  As a general internist and geriatrician, Dr. Simons maintains an active practice in the Medical Faculty Associates of the George Washington University.

Craig Umscheid, MD, MSCE
Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Dr. Umscheid is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a practicing hospitalist, and Director of the Penn Medicine Center for Evidence-based Practice.  He is a Senior Fellow in the Leonard David Institute of Health Economics, and Co-Director of the National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award supported Health System Informatics Core.  He also serves as the Senior Associate Director of the ECRI Institute - Penn Medicine Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Evidence-based Practice Center, a Deputy Editor of the Journal of General Internal Medicine, and is a member of the international Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) Working Group.

Gianna Zuccotti, MD, MPH
Clinical Content Director for the Partners eCare Program

Dr. Zuccotti is the Clinical Content Director for the Partners eCare Program, as well as the Associate Medical Director for Risk Management Informatics at the Harvard Risk Management Foundation (RMF).  She previously served as the Vice Chair of Medicine for Clinical Affairs and Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and has served in various Editorial positions, including her current role as Executive Editor for The Medical Letter. Dr. Zuccotti is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a clinician on the faculty of the Infectious Disease Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
