Links to DynaMed can be configured on the toolbars in both Allscripts Enterprise and Sunrise systems allowing users quick access from every screen in the EHR.

Cerner

Links to DynaMed can be configured on the toolbar in Cerner allowing users quick access from every screen in the EHR. Cerner also supports the HL7 Infobutton standard. Cerner clients can download the DynaMed configuration documentation from the uCern collaboration site using their CernerCare credentials.

Epic

Links to DynaMed can be configured on the toolbar in EPIC allowing users quick access from every screen in the EHR. Epic also supports the HL7 Infobutton standard. Tailored searches of DynaMed/DynaMed Plus content relevant to a specific patient’s disease, condition, medication, lab results, age and gender are supported. The HL7 Infobutton links to DynaMed from Epic’s Clinical Knowledge Base (ClinKB) from the following areas:

McKesson

Links to DynaMed can be configured on the toolbar in McKesson allowing users quick access from every screen in the EHR. McKesson also supports the HL7 Infobutton standard. Users can click the infobutton located next to an item in the problem list, medication panel or lab panel which will send the term and other information (ICD Code, SNOMED code, RxNORM, etc) to DynaMed. Search results relevant to patient demographics (age, gender) are displayed in DynaMed.

MEDITECH

Links to DynaMed can be configured on the toolbar in MEDITECH allowing users quick access from every screen in the EHR. MEDITECH also supports the HL7 Infobutton standard. Users can click the infobutton located next to an item in the problem list, medication panel or lab panel which will send the term and other information (ICD Code, SNOMED code, RxNORM, etc) to DynaMed. Search results relevant to patient demographics (age, gender) are displayed in DynaMed.

NextGen

DynaMed seamlessly and fully integrates with the eClinicalWorks platform supporting the needs of the busy clinician with trusted evidence-based answers to the clinical questions right from your EHR. DynaMed customers who use eClinicalWorks as their HER can simply click the “Education” tab of the assessment window and select “Physician Reference” to easily access related DynaMed content.
