Betsy Jones
Senior Vice President of Medical Product Management

Betsy Jones is Senior Vice President of Medical Product Management. She oversees both the EBSCO Health Medical Product Management department and the Medical Editorial Teams of clinical decision support tools such as DynaMed and Dynamic Health. Betsy is a leader in the healthcare publishing industry and most recently served as Senior Vice President and Publisher at the American Medical Association. She brings a wealth of experience in clinical information, content expertise and industry knowledge to EBSCO Health.

Michael Berkwits, MD, MSCE
Deputy Editor for JAMA

Dr. Berkwits is a Deputy Editor for JAMA. He received his medical education and training at the University of Illinois in Chicago, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and University of Pennsylvania, and previously held editorial positions at the Annals of Internal Medicine, the Journal of General Internal Medicine, The Merck Manuals and the Perelman School of Medicine.

Chi-Cheng Huang
Associate Professor Internal Medicine, Wake Forest School of Medicine and Executive Medical Director of General Medicine and Hospital Medicine Service Line, Wake Forest Baptist Health System

Dr. Huang has spent the last two decades as a practicing physician, health care leader and social entrepreneur affecting the wellbeing of patients, families, and communities in the United States and abroad. As a physician and leader, he has worked at tertiary care hospitals, community hospitals, and critical care hospitals. Over the last fifteen years in different settings, Dr. Huang has work collaboratively to decrease the length of stay by 10%, lower observed/expected mortality rate to 0.85, increase reimbursement by $450,000 through improved EPIC billing capture, save approximately $3 million dollars in laboratory medicine, and develop several new service lines. Civically, he founded Kaya Children International in 1997 addressing the needs of street children and child prostitutes in La Paz, Bolivia by creating two homes, a drop-in care center, and street outreach program. Between 1997 until 2017, thousands of children were served and provided a home. In Boston, he advocated on behalf of the youngest children as vice chairperson of Early Education and Care State Board for the commonwealth of Massachusetts between 2010 until 2014.

William A. Kormos, MD, MPH
Chief of Medicine at the James Howard Means Firm, Department of Medicine

Dr. Kormos is the Chief of Medicine at the James Howard Means Firm, Department of Medicine and Education Director, John D. Stoeckle Center for Primary Care Innovation, and a practicing member of the Internal Medicine Associates at MGH. He is also an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as well as Editor for the Harvard Men’s Health Watch. Dr. Kormos is an outstanding clinical teacher and has received three different teaching awards for excellence, and is co-author of one of the most widely used clinical review books for medical students.

Ilkka Kunnamo, MD, PhD
Founder and Editor-in-Chief of EBM Guidelines and EBMeDS decision support program

Dr. Kunnamo is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of EBM Guidelines and EBMeDS decision support program published by Duodecim Medical Publications.  He is an Adjunct Professor of General medicine at the University of Helsinki as well as a part-time clinician.

Amir Qaseem, MD, PhD, MHA, FACP
VP of Clinical Policy at the American College of Physicians

Dr. Qaseem is the VP of Clinical Policy at the American College of Physicians and is responsible for leading the ACP’s evidence-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines program. He also directs the ACP’s Performance Measurement program and Performance Measurement Committee. His work also includes development and implementation of ACP’s quality improvement and educational programs. Amir is the Chair of G-I-N and is affiliated with the Jefferson Medical College.

Christina M. Reimer, MD,
Chairperson for the Quality Committee for UCHealth Medical Group

Christina M. Reimer, MD, a former ACP Governor, is a general internist.  She is a regional primary care lead for University of Colorado Health and serves as chairperson for the Quality Committee for UCHealth Medical Group.  Dr. Reimer focuses on promoting and developing evidence-based workflows and practice patterns.

Richard J. Simons, MD, MACP
Senior Associate Dean for MD Programs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Dr. Simons is the Senior Associate Dean for MD Programs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he oversees the full continuum of medical education, student affairs, admissions and health science library.  He graduated from Eastern Nazarene College and then received his MD degree from Penn State University College of Medicine.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospitals and served as Chief Resident and Instructor at Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center.  His academic career has focused on medical education and he has served in educational leadership roles in both undergraduate and graduate medical education.  Dr. Simons was elected to the ACP’s Board of Regents in 2016.  As a general internist and geriatrician, Dr. Simons maintains an active practice in the Medical Faculty Associates of the George Washington University.

Craig Umscheid, MD, MSCE
Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Dr. Umscheid is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, a practicing hospitalist, and Director of the Penn Medicine Center for Evidence-based Practice.  He is a Senior Fellow in the Leonard David Institute of Health Economics, and Co-Director of the National Institutes of Health Clinical and Translational Science Award supported Health System Informatics Core.  He also serves as the Senior Associate Director of the ECRI Institute - Penn Medicine Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Evidence-based Practice Center, a Deputy Editor of the Journal of General Internal Medicine, and is a member of the international Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) Working Group.

Gianna Zuccotti, MD, MPH
Clinical Content Director for the Partners eCare Program

Dr. Zuccotti is the Clinical Content Director for the Partners eCare Program, as well as the Associate Medical Director for Risk Management Informatics at the Harvard Risk Management Foundation (RMF).  She previously served as the Vice Chair of Medicine for Clinical Affairs and Associate Hospital Epidemiologist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and has served in various Editorial positions, including her current role as Executive Editor for The Medical Letter. Dr. Zuccotti is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a clinician on the faculty of the Infectious Disease Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
