The EBM Focus is a free weekly e-newsletter published by DynaMed. It provides valuable, advertising-free information to the medical community.
DynaMed editors monitor a large volume of research information on a daily basis through the process of Systematic Literature Surveillance. Articles are selected each week that are “most likely to inform clinical practice” and are highlighted in the EBM Focus with a brief and concise overview.
The EBM Focus provides sufficient information to understand the outcome of the research as well as links to additional information if the reader wants to know more. DynaMed subscribers can take advantage of persistent links to click from an article directly to the topic in DynaMed.
Readers of EBM Focus can earn free CME credits through our partnership with Antidote Education Company, an
ACCME accredited provider. Look for the CME link in each issue.
Editorial Process for DynaMed EBM Focus
DynaMed Editors are adding and editing summaries of new evidence to DynaMed daily. When DynaMed Editors consider a new summary likely to change or otherwise inform clinical practice, or have relevance to many clinicians for clinical or educational value they select the article for consideration. Two DynaMed Editors summarize the article summary in prose form, adding clinical context and important caveats for proper interpretation, and disseminate as an email newsletter. Rapid open peer review is completed by the DynaMed EBM Focus Contributing Editors via listserv communication.
